RSN–ESPN Joint Session at the 51st Congress of the Romanian Society of Neurosurgery

The joint session of the Romanian Society of Neurosurgery (RSN) and the European Society for Pediatric Neurosurgery (ESPN) took place during the 51st Congress of the Romanian Society of Neurosurgery, held in Brașov, Romania, on 17–19 September 2026.
The session brought together Romanian and international experts in pediatric neurosurgery and focused on current concepts and advances in craniosynostosis and other challenging pediatric neurosurgical conditions.
This joint initiative was made possible through the close cooperation between the two societies and the support of their Presidents, Prof. Adrian Bălașa, President of the Romanian Society of Neurosurgery, and Prof. Federico Di Rocco, President of the European Society for Pediatric Neurosurgery, together with the local organizing team.
The session was organized and moderated by Prof. Luca Massimi and Dr. Claudiu Matei, with contributions from colleagues from Romania and across Europe, both onsite and online.
Beyond the scientific program, the meeting provided an excellent opportunity to strengthen the collaboration between RSN and ESPN, foster professional exchange and friendship, and create the foundation for future joint educational and scientific initiatives.
We sincerely thank all speakers, organizers and participants who contributed to the success of this joint session and look forward to continuing the collaboration between our two societies.
